Portugal III

Rough and Fine, this Close to Each Other.

Portugal

Geological Treasure Chamber.

Portugal has an enormous density of quarries. In the region of Alentejo, some of them go down to a depth of 150m. Marble from the Alentejo is appreciated world-wide. Temples were already built from the stone in Roman times. Even many centuries later, Portuguese rulers had it brought to Africa, India and Brazil for luxurious buildings.
